Department of genetics was established in the year 2007. Initially, it was under the care of Department of Zoology and Biotechnology. Genetics department has now grown as a full-fledged department. Student projects and field visits are conducted regularly. The department is nurtured by Dr. Priyadarshini and Dr. S Jalajakshi. Presently, Dr. Priyadarshini is serving as Head of the Department.
