PG Department of Chemistry was established in 2013. Organic Chemistry is being offered as the specialization in the college. The intake strength for the course is 30. Admissions are based on merit as per the Karnataka Education Act. 50% of the seats are filled through the Bengaluru City  University Centralized admission process based on merit. 50% of the seats are filled by the college management ‘BHS Higher Education Society’. Well-equipped laboratories are in existence.

Presently, Dr. S M Basavarajaiah is the coordinator of the department.

Eligibility for M.Sc. in Chemistry

Graduates who have secured 40% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects and 50% marks in Chemistry (cognate subject) and studied Mathematics at least at 10 + 2 or PUC level.
